The Serengeti
The Maasai Mara Migration

The Serengeti is the ultimate wildlife park and the location where many nature films are shot, notably the works of Hugo Van Lawick ('Leopard Son', 'Solo' etc). From cheetahs to elephants, a dazzling array of animals thrives in this historic arena where primitive men roamed thousands of years ago.

The Maasi Mara - the northern part of the Serengeti - is the world's most famous game park. The BBC's 'Big Cat Diary' and 'Elephant Week' are filmed here before being televised to over 100 million viewers worldwide! Once a year, over 1.5 million wildebeest migrate to the Serengeti, crossing the crocodile-infested Mara river in what is believed to be 'the greatest show on earth'. They are dogged by hyenas and stalked by the big cats of the African savannah.

Deep Sea Diving
Exclusive Lodges

The Eastern side of Africa marries the Indian Ocean in a sunny ceremony, creating some of the best diving spots in the world. With coral reefs and tropical fish of every description in abundance, you'll have plenty of colourful company, including Blue-fish tuna and the giant green turtle.

Luxury hotels and exclusive resorts surrounded by white sands, swaying palm fronds and emerald waters are some of the attractions of the East African coast. Yachting, jet-skiing, sport-fishing, snorkelling and sun-bathing are some of the activities that take place in this Riviera-like hideaway.

Fishing
Wild Life

The East African coastline is reputed to be one of the best fishing regions anywhere. The Pemba Channel is famous for its Marlin catches and the Black Marlin Hotel nearby is an ideal base for sport fishing. The big fish caught here include Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Broadbill Swordfish,
Mako Shark, Tiger Shark and the fast-moving Yellowfin Tuna

Nairobi National Park

'If I had one more day to live, I'd like to spend it here...among the big cats.' - Jonathan Scott, host of "Big Cat Diary"

Animal lovers are never short-changed in the depths of Africa. With a plethora of National Parks, Animal Orphanages, bird sanctuaries and game reserves, there's plenty of wildlife to film, photograph or just enjoy.

Fort Jesus
Mountains

With its long and colourful history (from pre-history to colonialism and post-independence) there are plenty of relics to explore, the best known of which is Fort Jesus, a vestige of Anglo-Arabic power struggle on the Kenyan coast.

Mountain-climbing, hiking and even skiing can be done on the slopes of Mt.Kenya and Mt.Kilimanjaro - the highest points on the continent. The Mt.Kenya forest harbours plenty of wildlife, including gorillas and the rare black panther (melanistic leopard). Kilimanjaro, the inspiration for Earnest Hemingways 'The Snows of Kilimanjaro" is home to the even rarer clouded leopard.

Golfing
Cultural Tours/Studies

Apart from coastal attractions, magnificent wildlife and a vibrant service industry, sports such as golf can be enjoyed by amatuers while professionals can enter open tournaments and compete with their peers.

You can learn a lot about the culture, history and traditions of the many ethnic tribes that have lived here since time immemorial.
